Igreja de Ordem Terceira de Sao Francisco

Posted by Eric Cousineau (Sherwood Park, Canada) on 19 April 2009 in Architecture and Portfolio.

The Church of the Third Order of Saint Francis was started in 1702. It's carved sandstone front is the only one of its kind in Brasil, recalling the Spanish-American plastered baroque style. Of all the churches of Salvador, this is the richest in gold plated wood carving works and fine Portuguese glazed tiles.

Photography is a passion for me and it gives me great joy to share with you the world as I see it through my jaded eyes......

"If there is no passion in your life, then have you really lived? Find your passion, whatever it may be. Become it, and let it become you and you will find great things happen FOR you, TO you and BECAUSE of you.”
