Switchback Trail

Prior to the building of the funicular railroad, this trail was used to bring goods up from the port to the town site at the top of the mountain.

I can only imagine how long it took to build this trail. It looks like you'd cover 4-5 times the distance to get to the top. However, it also look like it would be ten times easier than trying to climb straight up. Good eye.

OMG!!! I have the photo from same swinging road. But Your is better than mine!!! That is the trueth. I was checking also the shade and we have been there nearly at the same time, but I do not know the year, month and date when You visited. I was visiting Capri in October, 10th, 2008.

@Marie: Marie, c'est me qui doit excuser auprès de vous pour mon français pauvre ! Bien que je peux parler 5 langues je dirais que mon français est mon plus faible ; notamment quand il s'agit de l'écriture. Votre anglais est très bon ! Nous avons besoin de pratiquer sur chaque autre nous aider les deux améliore. Me permettre de savoir si ceci vous fait appel. ...

La piste en lacet est un morceau merveilleux d'ingénierie qui a tenu le compte des routes être développé trempe des montagnes sans les structures d'ingénierie complexe. Je peux voir comment il pourrait causer quelque vertige quand vous regardez en bas d'au-dessus. Cette image a été prise sur Isle de Capri. ;-)
