1936 brought the completion of a new larger hall on the corner of Elm and Patricia St., and the recommendation by the Western Canada Fire Underwriters Association to form a Brigade with volunteers from the community.

So unmistakably a firehouse. I wonder how they called the volunteers to the 'house when there was an alert ? Last time I saw that here, they wailed a siren . . all gone now.

Very obvious what this building is even without the words on it. You would think they would have a more professional sign but it looks like one of the firemen stood on the truck and painted it himself ;) Very cool, home town feel.
