The Ukrainian Shumka Dancers of Edmonton are perhaps the most well known of Canada's 230 Ukrainian dance groups and schools. Operated as a nonprofit society, the objectives of the group are to promote the preservation, development and advancement of Ukrainian culture and dance as a part of Canadian heritage.

Its wonderful to see those who are willing to keep traditional dancing/song alive.....how else would we know our heritage...nice capture...I always like to see traditional dress too.

Interesting because many european immigrants have build what is know as the prairies....and they were part of it..at first it was farming ..then came the culture...nice shot
