Victoria Harbour Water Airport (CYWH), certified in 2000, is the busiest water airport in Canada (third in the world) and busier than a significant number of certified Canadian land-based airports

@klausZ: Thank you very much Klaus! These machines were developed in North America to allow planes to travel to the wilderness areas without having to build airports. In winter the pontoons can be fitted with skis so that they can land on snow..... ;-)

Superbe image, j'aimerais bien prendre une fois un hydravion, il parait que c'est très doux quand l'avion décolle ou amerrit mon frère a du prendre celui-ci pour aller trouver sa fille dans le nord de Vancouver!

Je vous remercie pour vos souhaits de sympathie. Il est le père de ma belle-fille, qui meurt d'un cancer de la colonne vertébrale, à l'âge très jeune de 46.

All the landings and takings must be a sight to see! I'm always thrilled when taking a walk along Yokohama Bay as we can see a lot of planes flying down and taking off in the nearby Haneda International Airport.
Very picturesque area here, in your shot, with the many masts and the houses watching....the events on the water.
