The Six-Gabled House #2

Posted by
Eric Cousineau (Sherwood Park, Canada) on 6 February 2013 in Architecture and Portfolio.

Back then, there was no recycling for glass except for pop and beer bottles - everything else was sent to the dump! So each week, Edouard took his old truck and gathered bottles from local dance halls, the legion, restaurants and of course, the dump!

People heard about his project and started bringing him bottles. He became a recycler before his time.

I don't think of myself as a role model. I do try to live in a compassionate, considerate and positive way. The only advice I can offer is to find what you love to do, find the joy in it, and express yourself through your passion.

I praise those people who take recycling to the limit... my mother-in-law recycled everything that she could, nothing was wasted if she could help it. This gentleman was very industrious.... that is a cool shot of these bottles with fantastic color and detail. Great info and photo Eric, I enjoyed!
